Bookrenew.com is a website dedicated to College and University students, we understand the stress of not only paying tuition but the cost of books as well as housing. Then at the end of every semester the stress of creating ads, posting signs, then monitoring them just to resell your book.

At Bookrenew.com we keep track of what books you have each semester, and all books you have purchase through us.
We will remind you at the end of each semester to resell your books and help you price them accordingly. We don't try and sell student books, we allow students to work together and find their books all in one place.Don't list on a generic site such as Craiglist, Ebay, KSL or AMAZON.

A: It is generally very safe to order books online. Just make sure that you are dealing with a reputable company by researching their site a little, and pay by credit card so that you are protected if your order never arrives or you have other problems. Stick with the large, recognized names if you are in doubt, or call the website to get to know them better.

When you use BookRenew your not dealing with company's, your dealing with other students so we recommend that when possible, you trade your book in person in a well lit, safe location. Trading at the college is both safe and convenient for both party's and gets you your book fast.

A: In many cases, you can sell your used book back to the same website where you purchased it. To find out you will have to look around their website for their buy-back offers. These offers are usually 40-50% of your books value and must be shipped.

Using BookRenew is simple and easy. No more posting ad's all over your campus, and no more shipping your property across the nation. Selling your book to other students in your school allows you to sell it fast and keep the profit, which is usually between 65-75%.

Using our Book Listing interface you can find the exact book ( No more typing in book information ) and with a few clicks determine our best guess of its worth. From there you can adjust it to your liking and post the ad. When purchasing a book you can see what rating the user has selected, the overall condition of the book, the sellers location and other pertinent information.

Bookrenew.com was created by Salt Lake Community College students. We will soon branch off to different Campuses such as University of Utah, Weber State University, South University Utah and other schools. If there is a school you would like brought to BookRenew please let us know on the right side of most pages.

At this time we currently do not allow users to upload there own avatar due to safety and privacy concerns. At a later time we may implement this feature. You can currently choose from the list of 250+ avatars in your "Account Information" Page.

A: Well honestly, just tell them you would like to meet up at the college, save the shipping and guarantee you recieve the book. If you realy want the book shipped you cna ship it UPS, Fedex, or USPS. The USPS media mail option is the cheapest we have found to ship a book within the continental United States.

A: The first buyer who clicks the BUY button will recieve your contact information via SMS. You will then recieve the buyers information via SMS, Email and Message Center (depending on user preferences). This way you dont have to worry about being bugged all day by multiple sellers. We work on a trust based system. If a user clicks buy and does not purchase the book from you, please let us know on our Report User Page.

A: Cash is a great option when purchasing books. But if you are selling your book and would like to accept credit cards you can! With your Android or IPhone you can use the free credit card reader and application from squareup.com

A: Currently we do not allow you login using your facebook account. Shortly we will allow you to not only list your book on our site but post on your FaceBook wall to inform your friends. Then if any of your friends are taking that class next semester they can get it from you fast!

A: We understand there may be problems that ocur between you and the seller. It is your responsibility to find the correct book and double check it with your class information to be sure it will work. If for some reason it wont work, you can resell it and make your money back. If the book was not as described or there are other issues then please feel free to contact us Here and we will get back to you shortly.

A: We send text messages to you when your book is sold so you and the seller can meet up fast. We are currently in the process of implementing a SMS backend so you can access all your listings anytime, anywhere. Reply help at anytime to view a list of replys or Stop to opt-out. You can also opt-out in the "My Information" screen under "My Account".
